Twitter

Twitter is one of the main social networking sites used by people. Twitter is very similar to other social networking platforms because it offers a way for people to message each other and it also offers ways for people to interact by posts, known as "tweets". Blackboard is very different because it is mainly used by university students and faculty to help remind students about upcoming tests, their grades and assignments that are due in the near future. Blackboard's main discussion on the platform usually takes place in the discussion board, however, there is also email. In-class discussion is very different from both because everything happens over word of mouth, but in my opinion, Blackboard would be similar to an in-class discussion because both serve an educational purpose.
